For contractors, this is one of our most popular services. We price construction work across the country for a large number of contractors on a repeat basis.
That repeat business is the best evidence we can offer of our accuracy and of the success rate we achieve preparing tender costs on our clients’ behalf. Every tender is carefully assessed to give you the best opportunity to secure the work — competitive enough to win, but never so thin that the job is a loss before it starts.
Many contractors on the job site struggle to find the time to respond to weekly requests for tenders and prepare a thoroughly detailed estimate, and miss out on potential jobs and clients as a result. We can manage the tendering process for you, giving you more time to focus on running the construction side of your business.
If you are weighing that up, the tenders you decline for lack of time are usually the number that decides it. We have set out the signals in when to bring in an external estimator.
What you receive
- A complete priced tender ready to submit, in your format or ours
- Full measure of the works, so nothing is priced by guesswork
- Preliminaries, overheads and margin built up transparently
- A schedule of qualifications and exclusions to protect your position
- A breakdown you can reuse for procurement and valuation once you win
How it works
Send us the tender documents — ideally as a OneDrive or Dropbox link so nothing is lost to email limits. We confirm scope and turnaround, measure and price the works, then return the tender with our assumptions set out. If the client comes back with questions, we help you answer them.
The fee is fixed and agreed before any work starts, so a tender that turns out to be more involved than expected does not cost you more. See what outsourced estimating costs for the published figures and the sum for working out whether it pays for itself.
